Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Member in good standing and Registered with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
- Public Health and Home Care Nurses require:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Registered with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
- Experience in Public Health or Home Care will be given priority
- RN(AAP) – Northern Nursing require:
- must be registered or eligible for registration with the CRNS (College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan) as an AAP
- Emergency experience
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- International Trauma Life Support (ITLS)
- Class 5 driver’s license
- CPIC
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to competently use electronic medical records (specifically Med Access)
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions/situations
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Able to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Assets
- Knowledge of Indigenous language and culture
- Knowledge or awareness of First Nations community health programs and treatment services
- Preference will be given to those with experience in Public Health, Home Care or Primary Care or Northern nursing
