PAGC Outreach Van

The Prince Albert Grand Council is now accepting applications for the positions of Warm up van Drivers.  We are looking to hire as soon as possible to begin operations immediately.

Please note: We are hiring for a warm up van driver positions with varying schedules. Evening, overnight, weekend and holiday shifts will be required.

Position Description

Warm Up Van Drivers are responsible for patrolling the city, connecting with homeless and vulnerable individuals, and providing assistance to those in need. This includes offering short-term warmth inside the van, checking on individuals’ wellbeing, and distributing food and basic supports.

Drivers are also responsible for preparing light meals and snacks to give out during their shifts. Duties include simple food preparation, keeping the kitchen area clean and organized, and ensuring food and supply stocks are maintained.

Qualifications

• Experience in Security or Conflict Resolution
• Aptitude to work with our homeless and vulnerable
• Good interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrated skills in ability to work as part of a team
• A commitment to personal wellness and evidence of adherence to a healthy lifestyle
• Must undergo a Federal Criminal Record Search
• Knowledge of First Nation language and culture, an asset
• Valid St. John’s First Aid and C.P.R. certificate
• Valid Saskatchewan driver’s license/Driver’s Abstract
