The Prince Albert Grand Council invites applications for the full-time position of Liaison Worker for the YES (Youth Empowerment Strategy) located in Prince Albert.

The YES Liaison Worker plays an integral role in promoting the Youth Empowerment Strategy to First Nations students while encouraging their participation in culturally based programs that are designed to enhance life-skills, personal well-being and cultural identity.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote First Nations cultural programming
• Build positive relationships with students, families, school staff, and community partners.
• Recruit and support students in participating in the YES programs and activities.
• Provide culturally safe encouragement and mentorship to First Nations youth.
• Collaborate with schools, Elders, and program staff to support student success.
• Maintain participant records and prepare basic activity reports.
• Represent the organization at school and community events.

Qualifications

• Diploma or experience in Human Services, Education, Indigenous Studies, Social Work, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Experience working with First Nations youth and communities.
• Knowledge of First Nations cultures and the impacts of colonization and intergenerational trauma.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check.

To strengthen connections between First Nations students and culturally grounded programming by fostering positive relationships, promoting cultural pride, and supporting student well-being, engagement, and success.
