Hunger Games 2024 Hamper List
Hunger Games 2024 Letter
Cops vrs Cadets now known as the “Hunger Games” was originally started in early 1998 when the First Nations Cadets on the Carry The Kettle challenged the local RCMP to a Volleyball game. The intention was to have a fun evening of volleyball and for the kids to relate to the local officers on a personal level.
Participants will compete in relay events (Volleyball, End to Ends, Basketball Shots, Volleyball Drills, Planking Competitions, Push Ups, Sit Ups and other fun events) This will not be serious competition but more designed to have fun and laugh. Points are awarded for winning or placing in events and at the end of the evening the team with the most points wins the large Hunger Games Trophy. Last year it was won by Parkland Ambulance, and they will be returning to defend their title.
The Christmas Spirit Trophy is awarded to the team the raises the most funds or food items for the PA Food Bank. Last year in total, we had raised over $8,000 in cash and food items which is important, especially at this time of year. Last year, the Sturgeon Lake First Nations Cadet Corps won this honor.
Event Date – December 18th at 1800 hrs (6pm) until 2130 hrs (9:30 pm) – PAGC Urban Services Gym
The following Organizations will compete this year.
