Executive Administrative Assistant

Under the direction of the General Manager and the Board of Directors, the Executive Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to ensure the efficient day-to-day operations of NLCDC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the General Manager using both traditional and innovative technologies.
  • Coordinate planning meetings, special events, and manage conflicting schedules between directors.
  • Answer inquiries in person and over the phone, or refer them to the appropriate sources.
  • Prepare correspondence, memos, statistical and financial documents from verbal or written direction.
  • Coordinate and arrange travel for the Board of Directors.
  • Record and maintain meeting minutes and motions for Board, Screening, Governance, and Finance meetings.
  • Distribute minutes, memos, and other correspondence to board members.
  • Prepare letters of offer for all approved projects

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A degree in Business Administration or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of administrative experience in a similar role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
  • Experience working with First Nations communities is considered a strong asset.
