Pharmacy Assistant

Prince Albert Grand Council (PAGC) is seeking a Full Time Contract Pharmacy Assistant in Hatchet Lake Denesuline First Nation. As there are no accommodations for this position – the ideal candidate would be currently residing in Hatchet Lake/Wollaston Lake.

Summary of Duties:

Under the supervision of the Senior Health Nurse, the Pharmacy Assistant is primarily responsible for daily operation of the pharmacy in Hatchet Lake. The pharmacy assistant will collaborate daily with the pharmacist. Additional duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Able to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to maintain client confidentiality.
  • Ability to work in a team setting and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to speak the language of the community is an asset.

Duties:

  • Receiving deliveries.
  • Managing Depot
  • Inventory
  • Dispensing products to patients
  • Control of prescriptions
  • Inform patients of what a pharmacist can provide.
  • Training for medical equipment.
