Permanent Part Time (2) 0.5 FTE or 1.0 FTE Position
Prince Albert Grand Council (PAGC) is actively seeking to recruit a Full time or 2- Part time 0.5 FTE positions for a Public Health Nurse in the First Nation community of Shoal Lake. Priority for applicants will take precedence to those living within the area of Nipawin/Carrot River.
Qualifications
- Registered with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
- Have at least 2 or more years in public health nursing
- Maintain valid SK Driver’s license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills;
- Community health and public health concepts;
- Immunology and biologicals used for immunizations;
- Understanding of sexually transmitted infections, including testing and treatment;
- Growth & development of newborns, children, adolescents, and adults;
- Knowledge of teaching/learning concepts for adults and children;
- Self-motivated and self-directed;
- Able to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team;
- Panorama;
- Ability to travel to remote fly-in community if required
Assets
- Knowledge of Indigenous language and culture
- Knowledge or awareness of First Nations community health programs and treatment services
