Senior Health Administrative Assistant

The Prince Albert Grand Council is now accepting applications from qualified individuals for the position of Senior Health Administrative Assistant at the Health and Social Development office.  Reporting to the Director of Health and Social Development, the Senior Health Administrative Assistant is responsible for coordination of activities for the Director and Associate Director and is responsible for providing overall administrative support.

Main Duties

  • Take minutes and prepare motions/resolutions at meetings
  • Coordinate the flow of information internally and with other PAGC departments and First Nation and government organizations
  • Prepare agendas and plan for committee, boards and other meetings
  • Schedule and confirm appointments and meetings
  • Liaise with PAGC departmental and PAGC Executive officials and with other First Nation and government organizations and associations on behalf of Health and Social Development
  • Arrange travel arrangements for PAGC Health staff and event participants
  • Prepare schedules and plan conferences, meetings, gatherings and assemblies
  • Maintain Health fleet and enter service information on fleet database
  • Provide support for budgeting and proposal submissions.
  • Supervisory responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in health/ social/ business and/or equivalent education and experience
  • Five years experience is required
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality as it pertains to all aspects of office information
  • Extensive knowledge of computer hardware and software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Internet research)
  • Typing accuracy of 50 wpm or better
  • Ability to speak a First Nations language is an asset
  • Knowledge of PAGC First Nation’s culture and practices.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Satisfactory vulnerable record check
