Crisis Intervention Worker

Location: Montreal Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan
Schedule: 4 Days On / 4 Days Off
Accommodations may be available while working your scheduled rotation

We are looking for compassionate, dependable individuals to join our team as Crisis Intervention Workers at our shelter located in Montreal Lake Cree Nation.

This is meaningful work supporting women and children in a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment. The 4-on/4-off schedule offers several consecutive days off between rotations, with the possibility of accommodations while working your scheduled shifts.

What You’ll Do

  • Support women and children staying at the shelter
  • Provide crisis support, safety planning, referrals, and resources
  • Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment
  • Complete basic documentation and shift reports
  • Assist with daily shelter routines and household responsibilities
  • Work independently and as part of a team

  • Able to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
  • Willing to learn and participate in training

Qualifications

  • One-year certificate in a human services-related field or related experience
  • Valid Saskatchewan Driver’s Licence
  • First Aid/CPR and Safe Food Handling certification, or willingness to obtain
  • Experience with family violence, trauma, mental health, addictions, Indigenous communities, crisis intervention, or child development is an asset
